The last 100 Kilometers from Lugo to Santiago de Compostela.

The pilgrimage to Compostela Original Way was used by the first devotees arrived from spring Asturian kingdom.

It is therefore the first Jacobean route, hence its current

denomination. Go through with us in 5 steps, the first known path towards Santiago, with off the beautiful city of Lugo. Arriving in Santiago guarantee that you get the Compostela.

Fátima - Lugo - Path in our private vehicle

Our meeting point will be in Fátima – Rotunda South to the 13h20m. Where will go out course the Lugo. The planned hour of arrival the Lugo will be to the 20h00m, where will happen the night, in a Private Hostel

The first stage of our Way Primitivo, is essentially in asphalt, will go to take two stretches of forest, that only by yes they are worth it to visit them, it wants by his natural beauty wants by the fact to feel very present the reason of the name Camino Primitive. We happen in some aldeas and churches, but is in Saint Roman of the Retorta that find the final destination of this ours stage.

Lugo - San Roman da Retorta  (20Km)

Today we begin our Way!

San Roman da Retorta - Vila Mor  (24 Km)

The stage of today will go to carry us to the primórdios of the Way. To the go out of Saint Roman of the Retorta go to visit the Way in the ancient Roman Road, going through small aldeas, where can verify the main economic source of this region. After happening to the aldea of The Seixas, will go to go up to the highest beak of our Way reaching the tope with 700 metres of altitude. The stage of today finishes in Vila Mor, where afterwards are still in ours car deprived, to the city of Melide where we will stay overnight.

Vila Mor - Arzúa   (20 Km)

Today we will finish the primitive way in Melide. We will go back on our private car to where we finished yesterday, Vila Mor. Are missing about 5km to Melide, which is a very famous place for its octopus, and certainly you do not want to forget to try this delicacy so special. After spending the Boente, small town with spectacular Santiago church Boente, we will go in direction of Arzúa where we can see the beautiful chapel of La Magdalena, built in the Gothic style and founded in the century. XIX. Arzúa is also known for its famous and delicious cheese with designation of origin and produced in this city Galician.

Arzúa - Pedrouzo  (20 Km)

Today we depart towards Pedrouzo, after leaving Arzúa and its famous cheeses, we will find many small villages like Salceda and Santa Irene, today the day end on Pedrouzo where we can attend Mass in the Church of the "Concha" where normally the priest blesses all the pilgrims who watch it.

These 20 km linking Pedrouzo to Santiago, make this step by step of consecration. After leaving Pedrouzo and we spent next to the Santiago Airport quickly arrived at Monte do Gozo, preceded by a huge straight, straight from the Galician television station in San Marcos. Monte do Gozo, which is itself one of the most iconic places in all the way, for its spectacular panoramic of Santiago de Compostela, where the monument to Pope John Paul II we can see our goal: The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The day of excitement!

Free day in Santiago and return to Fatima

Free day in Santiago, where we recommend watching the Pilgrim Mass, in which we get the chance we can still watch the "Botafumeiro". One can avail to go collect your Compostela, visit the old town full of monuments, squares and streets. You can see the market where we can buy local products.

 

After the visit and the appointed time for all, we return to Fatima.

 

Where begins a new path for your life!

MEALS

All breakfasts are included.

 

And are included snacks, power bars, fruit, water (small snacks) and over throughout the Way.

 

Lunch and dinner NOT included,

whereas for dinner, there is the possibility of cooking in hostels, as they are equipped with kitchen.

 

It is recommended to bring food for the first day.

ACCOMMODATION 

All overnight stays are included, will be 6 nights in private hostels that carefully selected to make you feel at home.

 

The hostels are equipped with: free use kitchen, washing Machine and dryer, Internet  (Wi-Fi); bar and restaurant.

Sleeping in hostels is necessary to bring sleeping bag.

 

Selected Hostels by us, are comfortable and will be a point of sharing experiences with other pilgrims also that way overnight.

HIKING

You walk at your own pace. The path is well signposted and will not have to follow anyone. We have meeting points along the way with our support vehicle, roughly 4 in 4 kilometers. The support vehicle will have at your disposal: Snacks, energy bars, fruit and water and also ensure that all is well with you. We also offer assistance for unexpected situations or simply to relieve some muscle pain and blisters on the feet that may arise.

Do not worry that the road is never alone, and if for any reason you can not keep walking, you can help yourself from our car to support or want to continue the journey the next day.

TRANSPORT

Our path begins in the city of Fatima with the point of appointment on Saturdays.

Yet so as desired, we can go search it at Lisbon Airport, the Port Airport, your home, or anywhere, you just send us a message we will try to make you get all the details, and the additional cost inherent in it.

Extra Nights: if you want to stay a few days in Santiago or in Portugal, even if it is before or after performing the way, we are at your disposal to assist and we will be delighted to help in the whole process.
