With the point of appointment in Fatima we do in the road where in Galician lands began our French Way, crossing wonderful natural landscapes. We can see different cultures and delighting the local cuisine, such as the famous "pulpo" in Melide. Are immense pilgrims who travel this mythical way, together we will walk in 5 beautiful stages to Santiago.

Day by day program 

DAY

1

Fátima - Sarria - Path in our private vehicle 

 

Our meeting point will be at Fatima - South Rotunda to 13h20m, (or in a place to combine). Where we will leave heading for Sarria - Spain. The estimated time of arrival in Sarria will be at 19:30. In Sarria, we will spend the night in a private Hostel.

DAY 

2

Sarria - Portomarín  (22Km)

Today we'll start our Way!

In the course of our first stage we will discover many beautiful villages like: Barbelo, Ferreiros, Vilachá and Portormarín where we would sleep. We will also see important monuments, as is the case the Church of "Santiago Barbelo", famous for its shocking architecture, the Romanesque portal of the Church of Ferreiros, the legendary 100 kilometer mark and the fortified church of San Nicolas in Portomarín.

DAY 

3

Portomarín - Palas de Rei (25 Km)

Today's stage will take us along paths among beautiful groves of oaks and eucalyptus trees, through the villages of Gonzar, Ventas de Naron, Ligonde, Airexe, A Brea and finally Palas de Rei, where we will stay overnight. Here, we can admire the Romanesque portal of the "San Tirso" Church. 

DAY

Palas de Rei - Boente  (21 Km)

Today we will cross the border between the provinces of Lugo and A Coruña, crossing an ancient Roman bridge. Once the province of A Coruña can marvel at true jewels of the French Way, as is the case the Church of La Virgen de las Nieves, the Roman bridge in Furelos, the Churches of Sancti Spiritus and Santa Maria de Melide, we'll sleep here in Melide. Melide is a very famous place for its octopus, and certainly you do not want to leave without tasting this delicacy so special. Today's stage ends in Boente few kilometers after Melide, where we return in our private vehicle.

DAY 

5

Boente - Pedrouzo  (27Km)

Today will be the longest stage of the way, but these 27 Km will certainly stay in your memory because its natural beauty not be quenched easily. Since Boente, small town with the spectacular church of "Santiago Boente," we will go in direction of Arzúa where we can see the beautiful chapel of La Magdalena, built in the Gothic style and founded in the nineteenth century. Arzúa is also known for its famous and delicious cheese with designation of origin and produced in this Galician city. After passing Salceda and Santa Irene, will finish this long but beautiful stage in Pedrouzo where we can attend Mass in the Church of "Shell" and where typically the priest blesses all the pilgrims who attend it.

DAY

Pedrouzo - Santiago (20Km)

The day of excitement!

These 20 km linking Pedrouzo to Santiago, will be our consecration step. After we left we Pedrouzo around the Santiago Airport quickly arrived at Monte do Gozo, preceded by a huge straight, straight from the Galician television station in San Marcos. Monte do Gozo, which is itself one of the most iconic places in all the way, for its spectacular panoramic of Santiago de Compostela, where the monument to Pope John Paul II we can see our goal: The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

DAY 

7

Free day in Santiago and return to Fatima

Free day in Santiago, where we recommend watching the Pilgrim Mass, in which we get the chance we can still watch the famous "Boot-smoker" in the Cathedral. We can go collect your Compostela, visit the old town full of monuments, squares and streets. You can see the market where we can buy local products.

 

After the visit and the appointed time for all, we return to Fatima.

 

Where begins a new path for your life!

MEALS

All breakfasts are included.

 

And are included snacks, power bars, fruit, water (small snacks) and over throughout the Way.

 

Lunch and dinner NOT included,

whereas for dinner, there is the possibility of cooking in hostels, as they are equipped with kitchen.

 

It is recommended to bring food for the first day.

ACCOMMODATION

All overnight stays are included, will be 6 nights in private hostels that carefully selected to make you feel at home.

 

The hostels are equipped with: free use kitchen, washing Machine and dryer, Internet  (Wi-Fi); bar and restaurant.

Sleeping in hostels is necessary to bring sleeping bag.

 

Selected Hostels by us, are comfortable and will be a point of sharing experiences with other pilgrims also that way overnight.

HIKING

You walk at your own pace. The path is well signposted and will not have to follow anyone. We have meeting points along the way with our support vehicle, roughly 4 in 4 kilometers. The support vehicle will have at your disposal: Snacks, energy bars, fruit and water and also ensure that all is well with you. We also offer assistance for unexpected situations or simply to relieve some muscle pain and blisters on the feet that may arise.

Do not worry that the road is never alone, and if for any reason you can not keep walking, you can help yourself from our car to support or want to continue the journey the next day.

TRANSPORT

Our path begins in the city of Fatima with the point of appointment on Saturdays.

Yet so as desired, we can go search it at Lisbon Airport, the Port Airport, your home, or anywhere, you just send us a message we will try to make you get all the details, and the additional cost inherent in it.

Extra Nights: if you want to stay a few days in Santiago or in Portugal, even if it is before or after performing the way, we are at your disposal to assist and we will be delighted to help in the whole process.
